Letter from Dale Chandler

Dale Chandler has been a member of ASGA for 17 years. He has served as President, Vice-President, Tournament Director, and Delegate-At-Large. As a way of expressing his appreciation for the enjoyment and camaraderie he experienced from his ASGA membership, Dale sent the letter and drawing below to his fellow members:

Our lives have become quite eventful these past weeks. In mid July I became a victim of a series of seizures to the left side of my body. This led to an eventual series of cat scans that found an aggressive tumor resting on the motor skills area of my brain. Chemo and radiation are not considered to be viable options by the doctors.

At present, I’m undergoing therapy, which will allow me to assist hospice care givers at home.

I’m okay with this and realize that it’s a matter of timing. I have had a greater life than I could have expected. I have received my three scores plus ten with some leftovers and look forward to a new life on the other side.
