2009 ASGA Spring Tournament at Morris Williams

Honoring Murphy Hawkins

 

1.         Tournament date:  2 and 3 June 2009 Morris Williams Golf Course

 

2.         Tournament format:  Two-person total 2-day net score.

 

3.         Eligibility requirement:  Must be paid-up member of ASGA for 2009 as of 24 May 2009.

 

4.         Tournament winners:  Lowest total 2-person, 2-day net score in any flight.  Each winning team member will receive a plaque which will be presented at the annual bar-be-que.  In case of a tie, the winners will be decided by card playoff beginning with hole 18 and going backward.

 

5.         Cost:

            $22.00 2-day green fees, no annual card, collected on Day 1

            $24.00 2-day cart fees, collected on Day 1 ($12.00 will be credited to member’s account if the

                                                member does not play on Day 2)

            $10.00 total tournament entry fee.

 

            Note:  ASGA will increase total tournament purse by $5.00 for each player.

 

6.         Handicaps

            Beginning with this tournament, each member’s most recent handicap index will be used to determine the course handicap for each course we play.  For an explanation of course handicap, please see this USGA article.

 

7.         Tee times:

            a.         Tee times first come/first served by telephone or in person, 7:00 am, 27 May

            b.         Play starts on holes 1 and 10.

            c.         Teams starting on hole 1 1^st day start on hole 10 2^nd day--same tee time.
