Travis Eckert recognized for MoWilly efforts

Travis Eckert, ASGA Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) Representative has been recognized for his efforts to get City of Austin funding for much needed maintenance and improvements to the Morris Williams Golf Course during the installation of a sewer line across the course later this year.

Below is the text of a "Special Thanks" communication from Kevin Gomillion, Division Manager, City of Austin, Golf and Tennis:

I want to thank Mary Arnold, Marcha Macha, Terry Wilson and Travis Eckert for their continued work and support of Morris Williams at the Parks Board Meeting last night. The efforts have made a significant difference and the Parks Board voted 6-0 to ask the Council via a Resolution for more funding for improvements. In addition, the Board asked for the mitigation with the Water Utility Department to be no less then $500,000.00, up from $268,400.00. The next stop will be at Council and I am hopeful the energy continues. Your voice is being heard and the Golfers thank you! We will certainly keep you up to date on the next meetings. Thanks again.

ASGA members also extend our thanks to Travis for his work on our behalf.
