Dwight L. "Jack" Moody 1927-2008

Former ASGA member Dwight L. "Jack" Moody passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008. Mr. Moody was born in Pueblo, Colorado June 23, 1927. He joined the Marines in May of 1945, and served his country for 4 years. He joined the Austin Police Department March 17, 1951 and retired as a Senior Sergeant in September of 1981 after 30 years of service. He had a love of golf most of his life.  According to L. E. Clarke, Mr. Moody was a member of ASGA from 1989 to 2005, and he played in nearly every tournament until his health failed.

Mr. Moody is survived by his wife of 35 years, Arlene Eichler Moody; and his three daughters, Terry Harkins and her husband Steve, Vicky Filipowsky and her husband Pedro, and Cindy Hutcheison and her husband Jerry, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The Austin Senior Golf Association extends condolences to Mr. Moody's family and friends.
